The another phase of the valley is in the Chopta valley which is also know as “Mini Switzerland of India”. The valley is full of flora and fauna. The Lake Deoria Tal offers a great magnificient views of the Garhwal Himalayas. The valley is enriched with lots of different kind of vegetation. Detailed Itinerary :

Day 01: Arrive in Rishikesh


Transfer from Dehradun airport to Rishikeshand check into your hotel. In the evening we will all meet for dinner and a Retreat Presentation of coming days. Organize a massage schedule for Day 2. Meditation. Overnight stay in hotel.

Rishikesh

Ever since the Beatles rocked up at the Ashram of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the late ‘60s, Rishikesh has been a magnet for spiritual seekers. Today it styles itself as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’, with dozens of ashrams and all kinds of yoga and meditation classes.

Most of this action is north of the main town, where the exquisite setting on the fast-flowing River Ganges, surrounded by forested hills, is conducive to meditation and mind expansion. In the evening, an almost supernatural breeze blows down the valley, setting temple bells ringing as sadhus (spiritual men), pilgrims and tourists prepare for the nightly Ganga Aarti (a fire offering or ritual performed on the Ganges).
Day 02: Explore the Area & Massage


After the morning yoga session and breakfast we will organize walking tours of Rishikesh and to the Beatle’s Ashram.There will be time for shopping & lunch on your own. Perhaps we go as a group to experience Ganga Aarti in late afternoon. Group dinner, and the evening to be spent at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 03 : Drive from Rishikesh to Musmola Village


After the morning yoga session and breakfast we drive to the village of Musmola(approx 5 hrs). Enroute we stop to watch the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi which form the start of the Mother Ganges. The drive is very scenic and displays the vast line of the Himalayan foothills. After approx. 3 hrs we get off the main highway and continue our drive to Musmola village. The road to the village is a connecting road with much less traffic than the main highway, and it lessens until we reach Musmola village. Dinner and homestays.

Musmola village

This village is a small settlement of perhaps 16 families located in a very remote and unexplored part of the Garhwal Himalayas. Most of the inhabitants of the village depend on the resources of the village for their survival. Now it is connected with the road, but when there were no roads the people walked for days to reach the town of Srinagar, which is the biggest town for nearby villages.

The water resources in the valley are natural. It’s a perfect place for meditation, yoga, nature walks, bird-watching and to experience outside silence and inside peace. The lush green forests of this region are home to an astounding multiplicity of flora and fauna. Day 04 : Mountain Trek to Daunda Village


Wake up easy. The morning of any countryside is unique. Enjoy the chants of the birds and the magnificent views. According to schedule have a morning yoga class, followedby breakfast which will have the local organic ingredients. Later we start walking to a campsite called Daunda. Along this scenic trek we will come upon a remote village center, where we will be welcomed to visit the school and temple and to interact with the schoolchildren and curious villagers.

Afterwards continue to our Daunda campsite where our glamping tents will be ready for us to settle in. Relax, enjoy dinner and evening meditation and our first “glamping” night under the stars of the valley.

Day 05 : A Local Excursion and Village-style Cooking Class


After morning yoga and breakfast we trek on a day excursion to a nearby village. We discover the Himalayan village traditions and culture; how people still live the life in these higher valleys of the Himalayas with very limited resources.

After spending some time we trek back to the campsite. There will be an interactive cooking lesson for those interested in Himalayan cuisine and how locals prepare their food. The rest of the time to be spent in leisure. Dinner, meditation and overnight stay in the tents.

Day 06: Trek back to the Road and Drive to Chopta


After morning yoga class and breakfast we say goodbye to the village and trek approx. 45 min to reach the road, where we board our vehicles and drive ~ 4.5 hrs to reach our next campsite in a region called Chopta (2900 mtrs)--also known as the mini-Switzerland of India. Dinner, meditation and overnight stay at Chopta.

Day07 : Drive to Sari Village and Trek to Lake Deoria Tal


After morning yoga and breakfast we drive for 45 min to reach a village called Sari, and from here we begin a scenic 2.5 km trek to the beautifulmountain valley lake called Deoria Tal, altitude 2500 mts. The lake area offers spectacular views of the Himalayas! After lunch and relaxation at the lake we trek back down to Sari for our return drive to our campsite at Chopta. Dinner, meditation and overnight stay at Chopta.

Lake Deoria Tal

This is a beautiful Himalayan mountain lake, surrounded by lush green forest, at an altitude of 2438 m. On a very clear day Lake Deoria Tal will bless spectators with reflections of the Chaukambha group of mountain peaks on its crystal clear water. The region of the lake is a National Park, and a popular trekking and camping destination for Indian nationals.
Day 08 : Layover in the Lap of the Himalayas


Today is a relaxing day. Yoga followed by breakfast, then enjoy the high spirits of the Himalayas. This is a great opportunity to catch up on your reading, journaling or sleep! Meditation and dinner then overnight stay in tents.

Day 09 : Trek Chopta to Tungnath Temple & Chandrashila Peak


After early morning yoga and breakfast we trek to Tungnath with a packed lunch. Tungnath is situated at the height of 3680 mts above sea level, the highest Lord Shiva Shrine in India. Enroute we will find lush green meadows and we can see the entire range of snow-capped Himalayas.

Upon arrival at Tungnath visit the temple. After a rest we further trek 1 (steep) km to Chandrasila Peak, which has magnificent views of the Great Himalayas and of the highest peak of India: Nanda Devi (7848 mts).Celebrate reaching the top of Chandrasila (4090 mts!) with lunch and relaxation. Later trek back to Chopta for meditation, dinner and our final night under the stars in the Himalayas.

Tungnath Temple

Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world; one of five and the highest Panch Kedar temple located in the mountain range of Tungnath. The temple is believed to be 1000 years old and is the second in the pecking order of the Panch Kedars. Tungnath is reached by a path that wends through alpine meadows and rhododendron thickets, andis just 1 km below Chandrashila Peak with its panoramic views.
Day 10: Drive Chopta to Rishikesh (185 kms/7-8 hrs)


After a morning yoga session and early breakfast we drive back to Rishikesh. Lunch enroute. Upon arrival in Rishikesh check in to the hotel.Relax, group dinner, and organize massages for Day 11. Meditation. Evening to be spent in leisure. Overnight stay in hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 11: Whitewater Rafting on the Ganges & Massage


After morning yoga and breakfast we depart for a 2.5 hr rafting trip. Enjoy a mighty ride on the white water of Mother Ganges. Later, according to schedule you will go for your massage. The rest of the day is to be spent as you wish. A final group dinner, meditation, and overnight stay in the hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 12: Goodbye! Depart to your further destinations


A final morning yoga class followed by breakfast. With all the fresh energies and high spirits of the Himalayas, transfer to Dehradun airport for your flight home. Retreat and trip ends.
